There is also Septic, Osteoarthritis and Gouty Arthritis. Each type of Arthritis is an inflammation of the body’s joints causing a lot of pain in some people.
All type of Arthritis causes pain. But the pattern of the pain is different for each person. People who suffer from Osteoarthritis feel worse at night or after they have rested. People who suffer from Rheumatoid arthritis have pain in the morning usually after a shower. The only clear cut way to diagnose Arthritis is for a physical exam. Depending on the severity of the pain or the progression of the pain a Radiograph may be used to follow the Arthritis and watch how it progresses as a form of how to treat it. Blood tests and X rays of the joints that have the Arthritis in them are given as well.
Treatment may vary depending on the severity of the condition. Some ways to treat Arthritis would be physical therapy or occupational therapy, medications, there are so many on the market today that your doctor will prescribe the best medication possible. The last resort may be a surgery called arthroplasty. Doctors do not like to perform this unless nothing else can be done and the pain is becoming unbearable.
